vítej na světě Ammare!

I did not think I would feel that emotional with you arriving so far away but as soon as I got the text message from Supi on the phone, the tears inside me began to fall. What a brave your Umi and Abi bringing you into the world.

I have to admit, although i have few nephews and nieces, i might not have the kind of experience as much as i have with you. I remembered it clearly, the day that your mother shared her pregnancy news with me when we had our lunch together in Destiny Restaurant 9 months ago, i held  back tears. I was just so excited that my best friend will become a mother, and i will be there to witness and welcome you into the world!

Indeed, children are a source of delight and an adornment for the world granted by Allah to their parents. They give vigor to the hearts, joy to the souls and pleasure to the eyes. They are the fruit from whom good is to be hoped for when they frequently supplicate.

There is just so much magic and excitement around a new addition to the family; your mother, me, Ama and Supi in this little house of ours, from anticipating the fun of seeing your beautiful face everyday, looking forward to the baby is just part of the magic.

19th November 2014, it was a memorable day, welcome to the world little man,  Muhammad Ammar Hafiz Muhammad Faiz, with the weight of 3.17kg, and 50cm height. Alhamdulillah, He's here, he's here! what an exciting news!

Ammar, lucky boy you really are to be born to such wonderful parents. I know they will guide you well. Being an Aunty feels a little surreal. We've been waiting patiently and anxiously for your arrival. I can feel in my heart that you are here and I know already that I love you with all my heart and would do anything for you, insyaallah i hope.

I think 'aunt responsibilities' have something to do with breathing in the smell of fresh newborn, hehe and then handing him to someone else, or me myself need to hands on when a diaper needs changing. in which case, this job ROCKS! LOL

Aunthood is a gift :)

He is 7 days old today, all the best to your little miracle, Mazirah and Faiz. Enjoy your journey into parenthood and have fun. Parenthood is awesome they say. Hope he will bring lots of joy to your family and to everyone else. Hope your newborn brings you all the happiness you deserve. We are so happy for you and the arrival of your new child. And to all of us, (the Aunties, and the parents), wishing us joy and happiness with the little ones, and plenty of wonderful moments together, as we are now having a new member of Baitul Muqarram, Ammar is definitely our new little bundle of joy in this family. And best of luck to us on changing nappies and feeding times!

Welcome to the world, Baby Ammar!

Road trip summer with Ayub's clan conquering SWITZERLAND and GERMANY

In Switzerland, the staggering beauty is so much more than visual. Subhanallah, i hardly get enough, hardly takes my eyes off to see the views outside the window (unless we fall asleep)

it was a memorable roadtrip with Haziq's family touring Switz and Germany 23th June- 2nd July, starting from Olomouc-Prague-Lucerne-Brienz-Interlaken-Zermatt-Montreux-Rheinfalls Zurich-Neuschwanstein Bavaria-Munich-Prague

The mention of Switz evokes hyperbolic images of expansive grasslands, wooden chalets, tiny villages, and picturesque skiing slopes- but for once, these images are an apt representation of truth. Subhanallah, if there is one country that is blessed with natural  beauty, it is Switzerland (New Zealand 2nd hehee).

Switz is very well connected by train, its easy to visit any of these villages by public transport, but its our fondness for family road trip don't you? It is the flexible that a car offers is tough to  beat *hehe* . It was a good opportunity for me to get to know Haziq's family. oh dear, they're so hilarious. we had more than enough laughs everyday. Haziq is a very family man (extra points! haha). yang lain tak mauk cerita. haha, back to our roadtrip, Haziq, Faiz took turn to drive from Prague to our first destination, Zug. We stayed for a night at Zug Youth Hostel

our loyal drivers and co-drivers; Faiz, Dinie and Haziq

meet Makcik Salma, and Kak Ina

with Pakcik Ayub's clan

Yes indeed,  Switz are just beyond expectations, we went through Alpine villages, stunning lakes, and so much more. One simple sentence that i can describe about the places we've been to

Day 1
LUCERNE - The impressive Chapel bridge

BRIENZ - charming mountains at the eastern end of turquoise-coloured Lake Brienz

Day 2
INTERLAKEN - 'town between the lakes' which is Thun and Brienz

Day 3
ZERMATT - The idyllic village at the foot of the famous Matterhorn

Day 4 (final day in Switzerland)
MONTREUX - fairy-tale Chillon Castle on the banks of Lake Geneva

RHEINFALLS , ZURICH-
dramatic, the shear force and violent torrent of the biggest waterfall in Europe

and we stayed for 2nights at this one awesome apartment in Sion, xde gambar kenangan, da terdelete, i iz saddd

Day 5 (we stayed for a night in Munich)
Neuschwanstein Castle, Bavaria Germany -
the castle that inspired Walt Disney's home for Cinderella

Just to highlight this one interesting places we've been to,
Zermatt, this is one romantic village , which is right out of a fairy tale. I've been waiting for this moment, to meet the majestic Matterhorn as nearest as i could. Zermatt is a free car area, so we went there by shuttle train which departs every 15 to 30mins. Zermatt is definitely my favourite village in Switzerland. Sun-kissed wooden chalets from 16th to 17th centuries, cobblestoned alleys, and luxurious boutiques hotels dominates this place, so why not to fall for. i was a bit down when i couldn't hike up to see Matterhorn as near as i could, since we're walking with Haziq's folks; but i spoke to a couple who came from Belgium, they told me that we're so lucky that we came during that day because Matterhorn appeared himself elegantly. Few days before, it was terrible day for visibility, he (Matterhorn) didn't want to show himself. Alhamdulillah, i sat down for a while and think how lucky i am that Allah grants my wishes to see Matterhorn. T_T

thanks Haziq and Ayub's clan for having me around, banyak belanja lak tu T_T banyak sangat kenangan best mihihi.

Skiareál Špindlerův Mlýn : wild in winter 2014

With the snowboarding season on the horizon, we decided to go to Skiareál Špindlerův Mlýn last saturday. It was organized by Czemsa Praha, one of the Malaysia student association in Czech Republic, Prague locality. Skiareál Špindlerův Mlýn is popular among the snowboarders and skiers when winter comes. it is 740-1310m above sea level. There is 2 areas , ranging all level of difficulty, Medvedin and Svaty Petr. And we went to Svaty Petr *festaimer, so ikut je orang hehe*

Pukul 6.50 pagi lagi kami diarahkan untuk berkumpul di Karlovo Namesti. Semangat betul rakan-rakan gerak pagi2 buta. Total number of participants was less than expected. it was only 12 of us. From Olomouc, Syafiq, Haziq and me, from HK, zulaiha, and the rest was Praha-ians ; Pek, Ooo, Faisal , Amirul, Estella and her friend, Aiza. Not forgetting,  Salam , kawan Haziq and Pek from France.Tetapi itu tidak mematahkan semangat kami. We took the metro heading Cerny Most (Line B) and from there, we took a bus to Špindlerův Mlýn. The journey was quite long, 3 hours! layuuu duduk dalam bas lama2, but when i looked at excited faces of my friends, terus semangat balik.

credit to Pek, for making the video

well anyway, it was awesome! The appealing of skiing and snowboarding can be summed up in one word ; EXHILARATION! For some, its the exhilaration of arcing crisp turns down the mountain or stomping a trick in the terrain park. For others, its the exhilaration of wending one's way on a forest trail made magical by new snowfall. And for most, its the exhilaration of spending time - especially with friends - doing something that just makes you feel that much more alive.
